RESUME

Geospatial ecologist developing spatial analytical systems to investigate vegetation dynamics and disturbance processes across complex socio-ecological landscapes, grounded in plant science, ecosystem ecology, and earth systems analysis.

Interdisciplinary training spans plant physiology, conservation biology, climate science, nature-based solutions, and physical earth systems, including focused study of fire-adapted Mediterranean ecosystems and lowland and montane tropical forests. This foundation informs advanced spatial modeling and environmental data integration across both desktop and cloud-based geospatial platforms.

Current work centers on a covariance-based ecological monitoring framework that analyzes terrain-conditioned peer and self-dissimilarity patterns to identify anomalous vegetation signals and landscape regime instability in multispectral satellite time-series data, with application to disturbance-prone landscapes in Southern California.
